Turning Design IntoSubscription

Auxlab is a design studio sold as a subscription: unlimited brand, UI/UX, and web design requests for one flat monthly rate, with no contracts and no in-house hiring. A model like this needs to be understood before it can be bought, so the site does more than showcase work — it explains how the subscription works, compares the two plans, and answers the obvious questions upfront. TeamExio built the site as a custom WordPress theme, with every section editable by the studio itself.

Unlimited Design Sounds Too Good

Most agency sites sell a portfolio and a contact form. Auxlab sells a model — a flat monthly rate for as many requests as you can queue — and the first reaction to that is suspicion, not interest. The site had to answer "what's the catch?" before a visitor asked it, make choosing a plan a single decision, and feel as quick as the turnaround it promises.

  1. A model, not a portfolio

Flat-rate unlimited design is unfamiliar, so the mechanics have to be clear before the work can persuade anyone.

  2. Two plans, one decision

Starter and Growth differ on requests at a time and turnaround, and that difference has to be readable at a glance.

  3. Speed is the promise

A studio selling 48-hour turnaround cannot have a site that feels slow or heavy.

  4. A studio that edits its own site

Services, plans, work and articles change constantly, and none of it should wait on a developer.

A Site That Explains the Model

The homepage is laid out as an argument for the subscription. A three-step process shows how it runs, the benefits answer the usual doubts, the two plans sit side by side, and the FAQ handles what is left — with selected work, testimonials and the journal as proof along the way.

  1. How it works, in three steps

Choose a plan, send requests to your own board, get delivery — the whole model explained before anyone reaches pricing.

  2. Plans side by side

Starter and Growth are compared directly, with requests at a time and turnaround spelled out.

  3. Custom, lightweight theme

A hand-built classic WordPress theme on Tailwind, with GSAP and Lenis motion kept deliberate rather than decorative.

  4. Everything editable in ACF

Every homepage section, the project case studies and the journal are managed through Advanced Custom Fields.

A Studio Built to Subscribe To

From the hero through services, process, selected work, plans, FAQ and the journal, every section was designed to make a subscription studio easy to understand and easy to start — and built so the team behind it can keep it current themselves.

A Model People Understand

  • Built a custom WordPress theme that sells a subscription model, not just a portfolio.
  • Explained the service in a three-step process before visitors reach pricing.
  • Set the two plans side by side so choosing one is a single decision.
  • Made every section, case study and article editable through ACF, with no developer in the loop.

Auxlab now answers "what's the catch?" before a visitor has to ask it.

By structuring the site as the case for the subscription rather than a gallery of past work, TeamExio gave Auxlab a site that explains an unfamiliar model clearly and stays easy for the studio to run.
